Below is background regarding the work of Kim Brown and International Ministries with tribal groups in Northern Thailand. Kim works with a group of committed Thai Tribal Christians and various mission-minded organizations to provide the services outlined below.

Kimberly Jo Brown—Ministry Updates

Provides;

Culturally relevant AIDS material to tribal groups through workshops in tribal villages. This includes information regarding:Information about AIDS

· Identification of Risk Factors

· Basic Health Information

· Training regarding the use of teaching materials

Home care materials for care of AIDS victims in their homes. This includes:

· Support for families caring for the HIV positive in their homes

· Helping family members care for AIDS orphans including school fees and rice for school lunches.

The following services are also provided:

- Counseling and Visitation for Youth in Juvenile Detention Centers

- Visiting girls in Karaoke bars and building relationships

House of Blessing

 - Established July 2001

We provide a safe, stable environment for children from ages 2 to 9 while their parents work.

We prepare children to enter the Thai government schools. We visit families in the slums.

We hold teaching sessions for parents.

We help with healthcare, hygiene, and nutrition
